I am offering a Gibson Sheryl Crow Country Western from 2012, a crafted in Bozeman, Montana (USA), signature model of American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, featuring a voluminous square-shoulder dreadnought design, fine-grained Sitka spruce top over scalloped X-bracing, back and sides made of warm-sounding mahogany, set-in mahogany neck with rounded neck profile and 43.8mm TUSQ nut, bound rosewood fingerboard with elaborate split parallelogram mother-of-pearl inlays, high-quality Gotoh Vintage Style White Button tuners, and L.R. Baggs Element pickup system in a radiant natural high-gloss nitro finish in excellent condition, including black Gibson luxury case and professional setup with 12-gauge Elixir strings.

Like many guitarists who tour with their favorite instrument, Sheryl Crow was constantly worried that her favorite guitar, a 1962 Gibson Country Western, wouldn’t survive the rigors of touring much longer. So she turned to Gibson in the hope of having an exact replica made with more modern specifications—the starting point for this “Sheryl Crow Signature” model.

Essentially, it is a Southern Jumbo, which was produced starting in 1942, offered in a natural finish starting in 1954, and renamed “Country Western” starting in 1956 in a slightly modified square-shoulder dreadnought body style. The craftsmanship, wood selection, and construction are—typical of Gibson Bozeman—of the highest standard. Gibson not only joins the neck and body with the very stable dovetail joint, but the top of this flat-top also features a slight, barely perceptible arch. This slight arch also has a positive effect on sound projection, especially in the midrange.

This acoustic guitar, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back, produces an extremely brilliant sound with great bass, singing mids, and beautiful, sparkling highs. A top choice for both strumming and fingerpicking!

A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.

For live performances, the guitar comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element pickup system, which ensures an authentically clear amplified acoustic sound.

The neck features a comfortable rounded profile that is neither too thick nor too thin, and in combination with the 43.8mm bone nut, guarantees extremely comfortable playability.

Visually, the combination of the slightly aged natural high-gloss top finish with the reddish mahogany body is an absolute eye-catcher, and lovely details such as the elegant hummingbird-style pickguard, the mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, and the Gotoh nickel tuners with white buttons complement it perfectly.
