EXPANDEROUS + BOOST Version.

The plus boost version includes the infamous “crackle okay” style boost. It is what the kilt v1 boost was based on but slightly modified. Set it at 11 and forget it! As the knob is turned it will crackle, that is normal. This is how this circuit changes the gain range. It can also reach a loud and amazing fuzzy territory too. Toggle up sets the boost before the Expanderous and toggle down sets it after for even more output. The boost is also independent so it can be used at anytime and with any other pedals and it’s an excellent post boost for more volume of the Expanderous or any other overdrive.

Same Great Tones in a New Look!
This is first and foremost a faithful recreation of the Bixonic Expandora 2000 and 2000-R pedal. I had all 3 versions in my hands for months. I was able to trace them, test them and measure all aspects of the original Expandora’s. I can say with confidence just how close to the original’s I can get it with modern and available components. The JHS Kilt is a remake of the Expandora so my pedal sounds very similar to the Kilt.

Just like the original it covers great low gain and hi gain overdrive, distortion and gated fuzz. The tone control is similar to a Rat Pedal so it goes from dark to bright. Multiple combinations of the toggle switches cover all the drive range you’ll need. With both gain switches engaged you get the gated fuzz, originally called “The Forbidden Zone.” This mode is FUZZY and can be slightly unpredictable (which makes it fun) and is very interactive with the other controls, you’re guitars volume knob and your amp settings. I added the Guitar/Bass (lows cut) toggle from the 2000-R version as well giving even greater tone ranges.

For this newest version I added two things. I added a post gain control which pushes the output section. This allows more output if needed, a fuller sound and way for drive. I also added a switch to open up the compression. It adds note clarity, a little more volume and acts as an excellent boost.
