Selling my Yamaha YAS-200ADII alto saxophone – basically like new condition!

Hey folks, I’m letting go of my Yamaha YAS-200ADII alto sax, and it’s in really excellent shape—honestly one of the cleanest used student/intermediate horns you’ll come across. I’ve taken great care of it over the years, and it still looks and plays fantastic, just like when it was new.

The lacquer finish is bright and shiny with that classic golden Yamaha glow—no major tarnish or heavy wear at all. There are just the usual tiny light scratches from normal use, the kind you expect on any played instrument. There’s also one very, very tiny insignificant ding that’s hardly noticeable even when you’re looking right at it—it’s super minor and doesn’t affect the sound or playability in the slightest. Everything else is pristine.

Action-wise, it’s smooth and responsive. All the keys move freely and quickly with light, even touch—no sticking pads, no leaks, and the octave mechanism flips cleanly. The horn has been fully serviced recently (cleaned, oiled, pads checked and adjusted where needed), so it’s ready to play straight away.

The tone is that signature Yamaha sound: warm, clear, and focused with great projection and easy response from the low end up through the altissimo. It intonates well across the range and feels comfortable and reliable, whether you’re a beginner advancing quickly, a middle/high school player, or someone just wanting a solid, dependable alto without any issues.

This model’s been a favorite for students and educators because it’s built tough, plays consistently, and holds up beautifully—perfect for concert band, jazz, or just daily practice.
